Who Is Rosa Van Niekerk

Rosa Van Niekerk is a proud daughter of the King, known for her happiness, bravery, and strength. She was born on July 22, 1976, in Keetmanshoop, Namibia. Later, she moved to Upington, South Africa, where she graduated from High School Duineveld in 1994.

Rosa is the devoted mother of two daughters, Rosa Yasmine Van Niekerk (17) and Isabelle Van Niekerk (15). Together, they reside in Westonaria, South Africa.

She pursued her legal education at the University of the Free State in Bloemfontein, earning her B. Prok degree in 2000. Today, Rosa is the sole proprietor of Rosa Van Niekerk Attorneys, a medium-sized law firm based in Westonaria. Her practice covers a range of legal areas, including civil and criminal litigation, family law, contracts, and debt collection. Rosa's personal experiences with physical and emotional abuse have fueled her passion for family law, particularly cases involving domestic and gender-based violence. Her unique temperament, shaped by her Italian mother and Afrikaans father, makes her an ideal advocate in court.

With over 23 years of legal experience, Rosa has dedicated much of her career to fighting for women affected by domestic and gender-based violence. She takes a personal approach to these cases, striving to make an immediate and meaningful difference. Rosa firmly believes in "walking the talk" and applies this philosophy to both her professional and personal endeavors.

Humanitarian Efforts and Community Involvement

Rosa is deeply committed to humanitarian causes, focusing on gender-based violence, bullying, and children's welfare. She is actively involved in raising awareness and funds for various initiatives:

• Horse Riding: A passionate equestrian, Rosa and her daughter, Rosa Yasmine, compete in Western Riding competitions in South Africa.
• Reinhard Drewel Organisation: Rosa supports this initiative to prevent child drownings through education and awareness.
• Public Speaking: Rosa regularly speaks at churches, schools, businesses, and public events about gender-based violence and bullying, inspiring audiences with her "Crown Up" message. In December 2019, she served as the international guest speaker at the Pretty Pearls and Clutches Women Empowerment Brunch in Jacksonville, Florida.
• Nadibali Book Education System: She loves reading to children as part of this educational initiative.
• Equine Therapy: Rosa uses her passion for horses to assist children with disabilities at the Rotara School through equine therapy.
• Pro Bono Legal Work: Over the years, Rosa has provided free legal assistance to churches and individuals in need, driven by her commitment to supporting her community.
• Adopt a Family: During South Africa's lockdown period, she participated in a feeding scheme that provided food packages to families in need.
